Kevin Flynn, formerly of MacLaren MRM, has been named partner and managing director of Rosetta's new Toronto office.
Rosetta, an independently owned interactive agency, won the Rogers Communications interactive and direct marketing account in February and announced at that time a Canadian expansion, adding to its six offices in the U.S.
Flynn was vice-president of client strategy and engagement at MacLaren MRM, and was previously head of the solutions planning and architecture group.
Prior to joining MacLaren, Flynn worked at its full service agency sibling MacLaren McCann, and spent time as a group account director at Wunderman.
"Kevin brings the right blend of skills and experience to build, inspire and lead our talented Toronto-based team of direct and interactive marketing professionals," said Chris Kuenne, chairman and CEO of Rosetta, in a statement. "Their mission is to translate Rosetta's insights, analytics and technology prowess into personalized marketing solutions that work across multiple mediums and channels to spur Rogers' growth. With Kevin on board and leading the team we are assembling to serve Rogers, Rosetta is positioned to bring a new level of targeted direct and digital marketing to Canada's highly competitive environment."
Initial reports indicated Rosetta Toronto would open in March with a target of 20 to 30 staff. According to a company statement, it plans to be in operation this summer with approximately 15-20 employees.
